Job Title: Senior Wintel Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Wintel Engineer with 12–15 years of strong expertise in VMware, Wintel, Azure IaaS, Active Directory, and automation tools (Ansible, PowerShell, Python, Bash). Basic knowledge of Pure Storage is also expected. The ideal candidate will architect, implement, and manage enterprise-scale Windows and virtualization infrastructure in a hybrid cloud setup, ensuring high performance, availability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, deploy, and manage Wintel infrastructure across on-premises and Azure environments.
• Design and maintain VMware vSphere, ESXi hosts, vCenter, and virtualized workloads.
• Manage Azure IaaS components such as virtual machines, networking, backup, and monitoring.
• Administer and optimize Active Directory (AD), Group Policies, and Entra ID for identity and access management.
• Automate provisioning and administration tasks using Ansible, PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
• Troubleshoot complex Windows Server, VMware, and cloud infrastructure issues.
• Ensure infrastructure compliance through server hardening, patching, and security policy enforcement.
• Perform storage provisioning and integration with Pure Storage.
• Collaborate with network, security, and DevOps teams for infrastructure alignment.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in infrastructure operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 16–20 years of experience in Wintel engineering, VMware, and cloud infrastructure.
• Expertise in Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, AD, and GPO management.
• Strong experience with VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) and virtualization best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Azure IaaS and cloud migration.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Ansible, PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
• Basic knowledge of Pure Storage and enterprise storage provisioning.
• Solid understanding of security best practices, compliance, and system hardening.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders effectively.
• Certifications like VMware VCP, Microsoft Azure Administrator/Architect are preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with hybrid cloud infrastructure (on-prem + Azure).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Good grasp of networking fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, VPN, Load Balancers.
• Working knowledge of ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem management.
