Job Description
Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 years of software engineering or related experience.

The India Development Centre (IDC) is responsible for complete lifecycle of product conceptualization to design and development. These products provide comprehensive business and industry solutions, enabling organizations to increase productivity, accelerate business performance, and provide a lower cost of ownership.
This opening is for the India Development Centre. This is a very challenging role and provides an opportunity to work on designing Enterprise Software Products used by large set of customers across multiple domains. It provides exciting opportunity to work across multiple technologies collaborating with teams worldwide.

We are looking for aspiring candidates with 8+ years of programming experience in developing business applications with the following technical skills and exposure. This is for Technical Role and for the Product Development team.
Qualifications/requirements:
- BS/BE, MS degree, or equivalent.
- 8 years of related experience.
- Strong in programming fundamentals and have a good understanding of database concepts.
- Excellent knowledge of PeopleTools (8.x version), PeopleCode, Application Engine, Application Designer, Component Interface(CI) and Integration Broker(IB).
- HTML, JavaScript and CSS - Added Advantage
- Excellent DB concepts especially query, SQL joins, DDL, DML
- Good programming skills in one of the classic s/w languages
- Functional knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM products is highly desirable.
- End-to-end knowledge of the software development cycle.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology with knowledge of scrum and/or Kanban.
- Ability to communicate well and work with development organizations worldwide.
- Strong written and verbal English skills are a must.
- Duties and tasks are multifaceted and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully proficient in own area of expertise.
