Role description

1. Literature review/patent analysis of relevant to CCUS technologies


2. Process understandings and concept evaluation


3. Thermodynamic assessment


4. Analyze the kinetics and mechanisms of CO₂ capture, adsorption, and separation processes, along with reaction pathways involved in non‑catalytic and catalytic CO₂ conversion via thermo‑chemical, electro‑chemical, photo‑chemical, and plasma‑assisted routes.


5. Conduct lab‑scale experiments for CO₂ capture and utilization processes, supporting catalyst evaluation, process development, and validation of simulation models to enable scale‑up and technology deployment.


6. Perform comprehensive material and product characterization using techniques such as XRD, SEM, TEM, GC, etc. to understand catalyst structure, surface properties, and product composition in CCUS processes


7. Assess process safety aspects and contribute towards early-stage mitigation strategies


8. Synthesize findings from modelling, experiments, and literature into clear technical insights


9. Assistance in group level activities


10. Paper/Patent writing


11. Drive collaborative projects on CCUS technologies with technology OEMs, start-ups, external research partners & institutes
