Role description

  • Plan logistics and infrastructure capacity to support high-volume steel expansion for raw material, brown field and green field projects.
  • Design and develop rail, yard, road, and material-handling infrastructure aligned with phased capacity ramp-up.
  • Coordinate with project management, engineering, civil, mechanical, and electrical teams for execution and commissioning.
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of conveyors, wagon tipplers, stacker-reclaimers, ship unloaders, and yards.
  • Develop logistics-related Capex estimates, operating cost models, and project schedules.
  • Manage transporters, contractors, and logistics service providers, ensuring SLA adherence.
  • Ensure safety, statutory, and environmental compliance during construction and high-activity expansion phases.
  • Drive implementation of SAP, Yard Management Systems, and digital logistics tools.
  • Plan manpower, SOPs, and systems readiness prior to go-live and production ramp-up.
  • Support post-commissioning stabilization, debottlenecking, and throughput optimization
