- Lead and mentor your maintenance team to develop skill sets and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Conduct root cause analyses to prevent recurring equipment failures and improve system reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate maintenance best practices into production processes.
- Monitor key performance indicators related to equipment availability, maintenance efficiency, and safety compliance.
- Champion continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma to optimise maintenance workflows.
- Manage budgeting and cost control for maintenance operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- A Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university or institute is essential.
- Applicants holding a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with substantial relevant experience will also be considered.
- Advanced certifications or training in maintenance management, TPM implementation, or machinery automation would be advantageous.
- Continuous professional development and evidence of keeping abreast with emerging mechanical technologies and maintenance best practices are highly valued.
- A background in troubleshooting complex mechanical failures under time-sensitive conditions.
- Experience coordinating with multiple departments such as production, quality, and safety to align maintenance objectives.
- Prior involvement in automation projects, process innovation, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing context.
- Proven expertise in managing mechanical maintenance of machining and assembly equipment in the automobile industry or related heavy manufacturing sectors.
- Extensive knowledge of CNC machines, hydraulics, and pneumatics systems, coupled with adept skills in root cause analysis and spare parts management.
- Experience leading a team towards operational excellence, including manpower management and fostering teamwork across cross-functional units.
- Demonstrable success in deploying TPM methodologies leading to enhanced equipment availability and reduction in downtime.
- Hands-on involvement with cost reduction strategies, innovation led transformation projects, and automation initiatives to elevate manufacturing productivity.
- Proven ability in resource planning, communication, and maintaining stakeholder focus to achieve dynamic business priorities.
- Track record of upholding and continuously improving safety standards set by statutory agencies within mechanical maintenance operations.
