Detail-oriented Payroll Analyst with extensive experience supporting HR and payroll operations in multi-location, multi-state environments. Skilled in payroll processing, employee data management, HRIS administration and compliance reporting with strong expertise in the Workday system. Proven ability to ensure payroll accuracy, maintain employee records, resolve payroll related inquiries, and support HR initiatives wile maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with company policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Process and support full-cycle multi-state payroll operations for employees across multiple locations in a timely and accurate manner using the Workday payroll system
- Review, maintain and audit employee records in Workday including new hires, compensation changes, tax updates, deductions, direct deposit changes, and cost center updates.
- Ensure accurate time and attendance data in Workday time keeping while identifying and correcting discrepancies, and process improvements.
- Partner with HR, Benefits and Finance teams to ensure employee data integrity and accurate payroll processing within Workday.
- Generate and analyze payroll reports, audits and employee data using Workday reporting tools and Excel.
- Support payroll compliance with federal and state payroll regulations, garnishments, tax withholdings, and voluntary deductions.
- Respond to employee payroll and HRIS inquiries regarding pay, deductions, taxes, benefits and payroll policies in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with payroll audits, reconciliations, year end processing, and W-2 review activities.
- Maintain payroll procedures, workflows and documentation to ensure operational consistency and compliance.
- Support payroll related projects, Workday enhancements, and process optimization initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll information at all times.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of payroll and HR support experience in a multi-state, multi-location environment
- Hands on experience with Workday Payroll, Workday Time Tracking and Workday Absence Management
- Strong understanding of payroll processing, HRIS administration, and employee data management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, payroll reporting and data auditing.
- Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and payroll compliance practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced payroll and HR environment.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, customer service and problem solving skills.
