Role Overview
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for infrastructure and urban development projects. The role includes procurement planning, tendering, vendor management, contract administration, cost optimization, and ensuring compliance with organizational and statutory procurement guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage procurement activities for infrastructure and development projects.
* Prepare procurement strategies, procurement plans, and tender documentation.
* Conduct market research, vendor identification, and supplier evaluation.
* Manage the complete tendering process, including RFP/RFQ preparation, bid evaluation, negotiations, and contract award.
* Coordinate with technical, legal, finance, and project teams for procurement requirements.
* Monitor supplier performance, contract compliance, and project delivery schedules.
* Ensure adherence to procurement policies, government regulations, and industry best practices.
* Prepare procurement estimates, budgets, and cost analysis reports.
* Mitigate procurement risks and resolve contractual issues.
* Maintain procurement records, reports, and audit documentation.
Required Skills
* Strong knowledge of procurement processes and contract management.
* Experience in infrastructure, urban planning, transportation, or municipal projects.
* Expertise in tendering, bid evaluation, vendor negotiations, and procurement planning.
* Understanding of FIDIC, government procurement procedures, and contract laws is preferred.
* Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Experience
* Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in managing procurement processes, preparing procurement estimates and requirements, and handling procurement activities for large infrastructure projects.
* Experience working with government agencies, consultants, EPC contractors, or urban infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
