About the role
As a Performance Marketing Specialist at Wati, you'll be responsible for planning, executing, and optimising paid campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn, and emerging channels. You'll work across multiple global markets, own the full campaign lifecycle from brief to report, and bring both analytical rigour and creative instinct to everything you do. This role is for someone who lives and breathes performance, stays ahead of platform changes, and can turn data into actionable insights fast.
What you'll do
- Plan, launch, and optimise paid campaigns across Google Ads (Search, PMax, Display, Demand Gen), Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram), LinkedIn Ads, and other relevant channels
- Own campaign performance end-to-end — from creative briefs and audience targeting to bid strategy, budget allocation, and A/B testing
- Monitor daily performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve ROAS, CAC, CTR, and conversion rates across all markets
- Stay on top of platform updates, algorithm changes, beta features, and industry trends — and be the first to test what's new
- Build and maintain performance dashboards and weekly/monthly reports that surface actionable insights, not just vanity metrics
- Collaborate with the design and content team to brief, review, and iterate on ad creatives — bringing a strong eye for what converts
- Conduct competitor analysis and ad benchmarking to identify whitespace and inform campaign strategy
- Support budget planning, pacing, and monthly spend reconciliation across platforms and markets
- Work closely with the growth and product team to align campaign messaging with landing page experience and funnel conversion
- Contribute to influencer and creator marketing initiatives, including tracking and attribution setup
Requirements
- 4-6 years of hands-on experience in performance marketing, with proven track record managing paid campaigns at scale
- Deep platform expertise in Google Ads and Meta Ads — you know the nuances of campaign types, bidding strategies, and audience mechanics
- Solid working knowledge of LinkedIn Ads and awareness of other paid channels (TikTok, programmatic, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills — comfortable working with GA4, HubSpot, Supermetrics, or similar tools to pull and interpret data
- Creative thinking — ability to spot trends, write sharp briefs, and recognise what makes an ad stop the scroll
- Experience running campaigns across multiple countries and markets simultaneously
- Strong reporting skills — ability to build clean dashboards and present performance insights clearly to stakeholders
- Solid understanding of conversion tracking, UTM structures, attribution models, and pixel/tag implementation
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, global, and remote-first environment with high ownership and autonomy
- Experience with SaaS or B2B marketing is a strong plus
Nice to have
- Experience with creator/influencer marketing campaigns and tracking
- Familiarity with WhatsApp Business API or messaging-first GTM strategies
- Hands-on experience with Looker Studio, Supermetrics, or similar reporting tools
- Knowledge of SEO and organic growth as a complement to paid strategy
- Experience running campaigns in Africa, LATAM, MENA, or SEA markets
Tools you'll use
- Ad platforms: Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (GA4), HubSpot CRM
- Reporting: Looker Studio, Supermetrics, Google Sheets
- Creative: Canva, Figma (for brief reviews)
- Tracking: Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, UTM frameworks
