Mandatory Requirement

  • Looking for a dynamic and experienced Principal Officer for a Category I AIF based in GIFT City, Gandhinagar.
  • The candidate will be responsible for managing regulatory, investment, and portfolio management activities for the outbound fund while ensuring compliance with IFSCA and SEBI regulations.
  • Will oversee end-to-end fund operations, portfolio management, investment evaluation, execution, monitoring, reporting, and regulatory compliances.

Company is venture capital platform managing multi-million-dollar investments across early-stage SaaS and AI-driven startups in the India-US corridor.

Job Roles And Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end operations and compliance of the Category I AIF in line with IFSCA regulations.
  • Oversee portfolio management activities including investment evaluation, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Conduct investment research, financial analysis, and due diligence for outbound/global investment opportunities.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, risk exposure, liquidity, and asset allocation strategies.
  • Coordinate with custodians, fund administrators, auditors, legal advisors, and banking partners.
  • Ensure timely regulatory filings, investor reporting, NAV review, and compliance documentation.
  • Support fundraising, investor relations, and onboarding of global investors/LPs.
  • Prepare investment committee notes, MIS reports, and portfolio updates for management.
  • Track global market trends, macroeconomic developments, and sector opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to governance, AML/KYC, FEMA, and cross-border investment regulations.

Qualification And Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in AIF, PMS, Fund Management, Wealth Management, or Investment Advisory.
  • Strong understanding of IFSCA, SEBI AIF Regulations, FEMA, and offshore fund structures.
  • Experience in portfolio management and investment monitoring is mandatory.
  • Exposure to outbound/global investment transactions will be preferred.
  • Strong analytical, financial modelling, and reporting skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • CA / CFA / MBA Finance / FRM or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with Category I or offshore funds will be an added advantage.
