Senior Credit Risk Analyst – Global Credit (FinOps Accounts Receivable)

The Global Credit organization within Amazon's FinOps Accounts Receivable (AR) function is seeking a highly analytical, customer-focused, and results-oriented Senior Credit Risk Analyst to support and strengthen Amazon's global credit risk framework. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine finance, credit risk, technology, and program management expertise to drive scalable solutions that protect Amazon's financial interests while enabling sustainable business growth.

As part of the Global Credit team, the successful candidate will play a critical role in designing and implementing robust credit risk management processes, developing scalable controls, and driving process transformation initiatives across the organization. The individual will leverage large and diverse data sets to proactively identify emerging credit risks, influence business decisions, and develop automated solutions that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controllership.

This role requires a strong understanding of credit risk principles, Accounts Receivable operations, financial analysis, and process improvement methodologies. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable operational and technology solutions while partnering effectively with Finance, Operations, Product, and Technology stakeholders globally.

A key aspect of the position involves leading global credit risk programs and driving continuous improvement initiatives that simplify processes, strengthen risk management capabilities, and improve the overall customer experience. The individual will work closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities, implement corrective actions, and establish mechanisms that ensure compliance, governance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with Credit Risk leadership to design, implement, and continuously improve credit management policies, procedures, and risk mitigation strategies aimed at minimizing Accounts Receivable exposure while supporting business growth.

Own and drive global credit risk programs, process transformation initiatives, and operational excellence projects across the Credit organization.

Analyze customer credit applications by evaluating financial statements, credit bureau reports, application data, payment history, and other third-party information to make sound and timely credit decisions.
Monitor and assess credit portfolio performance by tracking key risk indicators, Accounts Receivable trends, delinquency patterns, and customer payment behavior.

Develop scalable controls and governance mechanisms to ensure compliance, controllership, and effective risk management practices.

Partner closely with technology teams to define business requirements, support development efforts, conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), and drive adoption of proprietary credit risk management tools and automation solutions.
Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency through technology, analytics, and process redesign.

Communicate credit risk trends, portfolio insights, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders across Finance, Operations, and Business teams.

Influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment on initiatives that improve customer experience while maintaining appropriate risk controls.

Strong expertise in Credit Risk Management, Accounts Receivable, Financial Analysis, and Risk Assessment.
Proven experience leading large-scale process improvement, automation, or transformation initiatives.

Strong program management capabilities and a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
Experience collaborating with technology teams to develop scalable systems and business solutions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years of Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
  • 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • 5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
  • 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
  • Experience working with stakeholders
  • Credit Risk Assessment Experience
  • Accounts Receivable & Order-to-Cash Experience
  • DSO management
  • Credit controls
  • Delinquency monitoring

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Six Sigma Black Belt
