Tender Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify potential clients through references, online research, and personal outreach

  • Register company profiles on various business platforms and directories

  • Search for certification and training-related tenders (online/offline) and prepare required documents for submission

  • Attend meetings with tender clients and associates to discuss requirements and proposals

  • Support the commercial department in building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients/associates

  • Follow up on payments and Earnest Money Deposits (EMD) from clients

  • Communicate new company plans to existing direct clients via calls, emails, or meetings

  • Maintain and update the tender tracker sheet on a daily basis

  • Record and manage data related to tenders and EMDs

  • Regularly update auditor resumes in the BSCIC format

  • Coordinate between government departments and internal teams to ensure smooth operations

  • Submit weekly/monthly tender tracker updates to the Managing Director

  • Lead and mentor team members, delegating tasks and ensuring timely completion of bids

  • Develop and implement tender acquisition strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives

  • Review and approve all tender submissions for technical and commercial accuracy before final submission

  • Analyze tender win/loss ratios and prepare strategic recommendations for improving bid success rates

  • Set team KPIs, monitor performance, and conduct regular review meetings

  • Manage relationships with key external stakeholders including government officials, consultants, and consortium partners

  • Oversee the entire EMD lifecycle including budgeting, tracking, and timely recovery from clients

Competency Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field (post-graduation preferred)

  • 4–5 years of relevant experience in tendering and business development processes, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role

  • In-depth knowledge of ISO standards: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 18001, ISO 22000, HACCP, ISO 13485, and ISO 27001

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end tendering procedures across government and private sectors

  • Proven experience in preparing, submitting, and managing tender bids for certification and training services

  • Skilled in coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders throughout the tendering cycle

  • Excellence in documentation, data management, and report preparation

  • Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and navigating online tender portals

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and client follow-up abilities

  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines efficiently

  • Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and team management capabilities

  • Must own a personal conveyance and be open to travel as required for meetings and submissions
