We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in SolidWorks-based design and detailing for fabrication and piping-related projects. This role involves creating accurate 3D models, manufacturing drawings, assembly layouts, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) while working closely with production, fabrication, and project teams. The ideal candidate combines strong design expertise with a practical understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering standards to deliver efficient and production-ready designs.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
- Prepare fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, part drawings, and General Arrangement (GA) drawings for mechanical and piping-related projects.
- Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and design documentation.
- Interpret P&ID diagrams and support equipment and piping layout development.
- Coordinate with production, fabrication, and project teams to resolve design queries and implement revisions.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, manufacturing standards, and quality requirements.
- Support design modifications and engineering changes based on production feedback and site requirements.
- Maintain drawing revisions, technical documentation, and design records in an organized manner.
- Assist in optimizing designs for manufacturability, fabrication efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project execution and delivery.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 2–3 years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering, preferably in fabrication, piping, process equipment, or industrial project environments.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, including Part Modeling, Assemblies, Weldments, Sheet Metal Design, and Drawing Creation.
- Experience preparing manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly drawings with a strong focus on accuracy and detail.
- Hands-on experience in BOM preparation and engineering documentation.
- Good understanding of fabrication practices, welding processes, and shop-floor manufacturing requirements.
- Familiarity with industrial piping systems, valves, flanges, fittings, supports, and related components.
- Ability to read and interpret P&ID diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD for 2D drafting and drawing modifications.
- Understanding of engineering standards, drafting practices, and GD&T concepts is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks Design Tables, Macros, or DriveWorks is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
