The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Finance & Accounting Manager to take ownership of the finance function and support the company's continued growth. This role will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, tax compliance, cash flow management, financial planning, and stakeholder reporting while helping build scalable finance processes within a fast-growing business.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Own the full accounting cycle, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, adjustments, and month-end close activities.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), cash receipts, payments, and bank reconciliations.
- Monitor financial performance and provide regular reporting and analysis to management.
Tax & Statutory Compliance
- Prepare and submit tax filings and statutory reports accurately and on time.
- Lead annual statutory audits and coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Manage annual filings, statutory returns, and corporate compliance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all local accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
Cash Flow & Financial Control
- Establish and maintain strong financial controls and accounting processes.
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity to support operational and strategic objectives.
- Develop cash flow forecasts and working capital plans.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks while supporting operational efficiency.
Business Planning & Commercial Finance
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Assist management with scenario planning and strategic decision-making.
- Partner with commercial and operational teams on pricing, feasibility studies, margin analysis, and investment decisions.
- Build financial models and business cases for new initiatives and partnerships.
Stakeholder Management
- Prepare and present financial reviews to management and joint venture partners.
- Act as the primary finance contact for procurement, audit, tax, and compliance matters.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure effective governance and reporting.
Process Improvement
- Continuously improve accounting processes, controls, systems, and reporting frameworks.
- Support implementation of scalable financial best practices as the business grows.
- Drive automation and efficiency initiatives across finance operations.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- 5–8+ years of experience in accounting, finance, auditing, or financial management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation, statutory reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing end-to-end accounting processes and external audits.
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the finance function.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with experience engaging senior stakeholders, auditors, advisors, and external partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification.
- Experience within media, marketing services, gaming, esports, technology, startup, or high-growth business environments.
- Experience building finance processes and structure within entrepreneurial organizations.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving business environments.
