Broad outline of the Role
  • The role is responsible for driving regular operations and maintenance of IT infrastructure, applications and database including delivery of infrastructure projects. This is an operational role, responsible for delivering results that have a direct impact on day-to-day operations and capable of instructing professional or technical staff and reviewing the quality of the work undertaken by these roles.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or equivalent qualification
  • 4-7 years in IT operations

Other Knowledge & Skills
  • Technical sound in end user's management
  • Proven experience as IT Operations Manager
  • Experience with system installation, configuration, and analysis
  • Capable of instructing professional or technical staff and reviewing the quality of the work undertaken by these roles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform remote hands and feet support for servers, storage, network devices, and related hardware
  • Rack, stack, un-rack, and decommission servers and network equipment
  • Perform power cycling, hard reboots, and console access as requested
  • Assist with datacenter moves, adds, and changes (MAC activities)
  • Respond to incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs
  • Perform visual inspections for alarms, faulty equipment, or environmental issues
  • Assist during outages by executing guided recovery steps
  • Escalate issues to Tier-2 / Tier-3 teams when necessary
  • Track and update hardware movements and inventory
  • Maintain accurate asset tagging and equipment records
  • Support audits and compliance checks
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Willingness to work in 24x7 shifts , weekends, and on-call rotations if required
  • Act as on-site lead during P1 / P2 incidents and outages
  • Ensure proper cable routing, labeling, and airflow optimization
  • Mentor and guide junior Hands and Legs technicians
  • Assign tasks and validate work quality during shifts
  • Act as escalation point for technical and procedural issues
  • Drive adherence to SOPs, SLAs, and compliance requirement
  • Ensure to meet Service deliverable , SLA ,submit required reports within time lines
  • Coordination with OEM , respective stakeholders , prepare Gate pass etc …
  • Lead Audits , activities etc … ensure closure of any open points

Coordination with OEM and respective stakeholders

Lead external and internal audit from datacenter perspective
