Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, high-performance applications and micro-services using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and Azure cloud services
  • Build and implement event-driven architectures, ensuring reliable, resilient, and high-throughput data processing across distributed systems
  • Design, develop, and deploy software solutions that intelligently integrate AI capabilities to address complex business challenges, emphasizing responsible and ethical implementation
  • Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools and automation technologies to streamline software development workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and drive continuous improvement in delivery efficiency
  • Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code in accordance with software engineering best practices and organizational standards
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
  • Participate actively in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and engineering excellence
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve production issues in a timely manner to ensure system stability and operational reliability
  • Evaluate emerging technology trends, specifically around AI developments, Java, micro-services, and cloud platforms, to inform solution design and strategic innovation
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience developing robust backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
  • 2+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka
  • 1+ years of experience with cloud-based development, deployment, and integration (preferably on Microsoft Azure)
  • Hands-on experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or other enterprise-approved AI assistants) to accelerate coding, debugging, or documentation
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps principles in an Agile environment
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design, micro-services architecture, and relational or non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Deep experience building or integrating custom machine learning pipelines or Generative AI APIs into enterprise applications
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Developer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect)
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes/AKS)
  • Proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for continuous learning and technological innovation
