Job Description:
PCB Layout for the CPU, FPGA based hardware boards. Conducts or participates in multidisciplinary research in the layout design, placement and routing of CPU/FPGA based platforms. Design efforts include understanding architecture requirements to come up with layout specification, component placement and routing as per the design guidelines. Ensures product conforms to the standards and specifications. Design efforts also involve working with mechanical team on defining boundary conditions for board design.Initiates, guides, and coordinates overall design and development of new ideas and products. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.
Strong verbal communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and some knowledge in Excel Macro is an added advantage.
Qualifications:
Should possess a Bachelor of Engineering or a Master's degree of Science/Engineering in the field of Electrical and/or Electronics having 10+ years of hands on experience.Hands on experience in Cadence Allegro Library and Layout Tool [Version 17.2 , 24.1]
Hands on experience in developing and validating Logical Symbol and Physical Footprint creation using Allegro PCB Design Editor HDL/EDM/Librarian including Allegro Design Workbench and CES.
Added knowledge of mechanical tools like Creo /Solidworks /AutoCad is preferable
Knowledge of Parts and Components
Microsoft Word and Excel expertise
Intense knowledge of CES, Stackup, board cross section, impedance details, Components and specifications
Capabilities of delivering PCB CAD Layout of High Density-High Speed, Mixed, Analog, Digital, RF Designs, Flex Designs etc.
Must have hands on experience in HDI micro via technology in Allegro
Basic knowledge of Signal integrity, Power Integrity, EMI/EMC, Mechanical and Thermal analysis with respect to PCB board layout
DFA, DFM and DFT knowledge to adhere to Quality assurance
Valor experience along with other Gerber viewer tool knowledge
Automation and Skill scripting knowledge
Additional knowledge of IPC standards, guidelines, methodologies, Mechanical specifications and processes
Strong communication skills, able to handle cross functional team meetings.
