DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a customer-obsessed innovator, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and an ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. They will have excellent oral and written communication skills, a focus to meet tight deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize work. Business Analyst will own the production and delivery of a suite of reports, dashboards and tools used by leaders to take decisions that impact customer of selling partner experience.

Key job responsibilities
Create, support and continuously improve reports and metrics that support the business operations
Convert data into digestible business intelligence and actionable information using tools like QuickSight/Tableau
Shape and deliver key metrics, reports, and indicators by which our business will assess its performance
Dive deep into large data sets to answer specific business questions using Excel, SQL and other data manipulation languages
Work directly with business teams to utilize metrics and analysis to determine improvement opportunities
Identify process improvement opportunities and drive automation to scale reporting solutions
Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on best practices for data analysis and reporting
Independently manage end-to-end project delivery with minimal supervision


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in writing complex, highly-optimized SQL queries across large datasets
  • Knowledge of SQL/Python/R, scripting, MS Excel, table joins, and aggregate analytical functions
  • Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Quick Sight, Tableau, Power BI or other BI packages
  • Experience working independently with minimal supervision, or 4+ years of Amazon experience
  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics or a related field
  • 4+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
  • Advanced ability to draw insights from data and clearly communicate them to stakeholders and senior management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ph.D. in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, or experience with AWS services including S3, Redshift, Sagemaker, EMR, Kinesis, Lambda, and EC2
  • Experience using very large datasets
  • Experience working as a BIE in a technology company
  • Experience researching about machine learning, deep learning, NLP, computer vision, data science
  • Experience with R, Python, Weka, SAS, Matlab or other statistical/machine learning software
  • Experience in designing and implementing custom reporting systems using automation tools
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior team members
