Job Description:

As a Data Analyst at Hubhopper, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting data to drive data-informed decisions and improve our podcasting platform. You will be responsible for working with large datasets, writing SQL queries, and using Python for data analysis and visualization. Your insights will directly impact our product development, user experience, and content recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection and Cleaning:

Gather, clean, and preprocess data from various sources, including user interactions, content metadata, and user feedback.

SQL Database Management:

Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from our MySQL database. Maintain and optimize database performance.

Data Analysis and Visualization:

Utilize Python libraries to perform exploratory data analysis and create insightful visualizations. Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in the data.

Data Interpretation and Reporting:

Translate data findings into actionable insights and present them to cross-functional teams, including product managers and developers.

User Behavior Analysis:

Analyze user behavior and feedback to improve content recommendations, user engagement, and platform usability.

Dashboard Development:

Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports for internal use, enabling stakeholders to monitor key performance indicators.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with team members, and software developers to integrate data-driven solutions into our platform.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline. A master's degree is a plus.

• Proficiency in SQL for data retrieval and manipulation from MySQL databases.

• Strong programming skills in Python for data analysis, visualization, and automation.

• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.

• Solid understanding of statistical analysis and hypothesis testing.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

• Prior experience in the podcasting or streaming industry is a bonus.
