JOB DESCRIPTION
This Role presents a dynamic opportunity to engage in the financial operations surrounding intellectual property (IP) agreements, with a focus on royalty overage calculation & Management. The selected resources will play a key role in Maintaining, streamlining and enhancing the end-to-end royalty lifecycle, contributing directly to revenue realization to business.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Extraction & Validation: Work with datasets from SFDC/SAP systems and contract repositories to extract relevant financial and contractual data. Ensure accuracy and completeness of inputs used for royalty calculations and invoicing.
- Interpretation of IP Contract Terms: Analyze licensing agreements and royalty clauses to determine financial obligations, payment structures, and overage thresholds.
- Overage Calculations: Calculate overages when usage exceeds contractual limits, ensuring compliance with IP agreements. Prepare detailed reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Customers, Legal, Sales, and Global Customer Care (GCC) to ensure smooth execution of royalty settlements. Facilitate timely communication and resolution of contract-related queries.
- Invoice Preparation & Revenue Recognition: Generate accurate invoices based on royalty entitlements and usage data. Collaborate with GCC teams to ensure timely revenue recognition aligned with contractual terms.
- System Accuracy & Reconciliation: Ensure that royalty-related data is correctly reflected in financial systems. Perform reconciliations between contract terms, system entries, and actual transactions to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Process Optimization & Documentation: Identify opportunities to improve existing royalty workflows and documentation standards. Contribute to building scalable processes for future cycles.
