Position Title Team Member – Site Utilities
Reporting to (Title) – Team Leader – Site utilities
Level – E2-E4

Position Purpose

The role holder will make sure the R&D buildings, facilities and utilities are operational at all times enabling uninterrupted research & development processes in the laboratories. The role holder will also be responsible for mechanical maintenance of the site. The incumbent will also be involved in infrastructural projects as and when required

Strategic Responsibilities

  • To ensure that mechanical maintenance of the site is carried out within time frame.
  • To ensure that utility maintenance of the site is carried out within time frame
  • To ensure that Capex related project are carried out within the the time frame.
  • To prepare Capex and revenue budget and to monitor it.
  • To define job responsibility to the associate.
  • Support to Team Leader – Site Utilities with focus on Personnel, Target setting, development of strength, building of knowhow, feedback and coaching

Operational Responsibilities

  • To ensure that all utilities requirement are given to Pilot plant, Kilo lab and R&D LAB.
  • To ensure all required datas are feed in SAP.
  • To ensure that PM & breakdown are carried out within the schedule.
  • To ensure meet out of ISO requirement
  • Well versed with operation & maintenance of utility equipments like HVAC, Chiller, Boiler, RO, Compressors, Thermic Fluid etc
  • Well versed with maintenance of Glass Lined Reactors, ANF, Centrifuge, Pumps, Glass assemblies, Vacuum Pumps, Ejectors etc
  • SAP programming

Financial Responsibilities

  • Contribute to budget proposals
  • Contribute to budgetary controls within the area of responsibility

People Responsibilities

  • Business relationship with the facilities and ETF team
  • Ensure smooth working of the department to maintain high morale of the workforce
  • Continuously improve processes to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Set goals for and review performance of facilities team members, consider customer feedback for performance management
  • Recognise and reward high performers
  • Identify development needs of the team and act to address the same
  • Implement initiatives to build desired culture in facilities team and along interfaces

Education Qualification

Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering from reputed university / Institute

Work Experience

5-7 years Chemical Industry worked as a maintenance & utility
