Job Purpose

The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end execution of medium voltage (LV & MV) switchgear projects, ensuring timely delivery, technical compliance, cost control, and customer satisfaction.

Job Dimensions

The role will be based at Nashik. Incumbent should have experience in the field of Low Voltage & Medium voltage Switchgear, Electrical industry ( i.e. RMU & RTU’S , LV & MV Switchgear).

Key Accountabilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Manage complete lifecycle of LV & MV switchgear projects—from order handover to final dispatch and closure.

  • Prepare detailed project schedules and monitor execution progress.

  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, specifications, and quality standards.

Technical Expertise

  • Possess strong knowledge of low & medium voltage switchgear systems, including design, testing, and applications.

  • Interpret customer specifications, drawings, and BOQs.

  • Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues.

Techno-Commercial Management

  • Understanding of project costing, budgeting, and margin control.

  • Monitor project costs vs. budget and ensure optimal resource utilization.

  • Manage variation orders, claims, and commercial negotiations where applicable.

ERP & System Handling

  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / D365/ equivalent).

  • Track project status, material planning, procurement, and invoicing through ERP.

  • Maintain accurate project data and reporting.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as primary point of contact for customers.

  • Ensure clear communication on project progress, risks, and deliverables.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders—engineering, production, quality, procurement, and finance.

Inspection & Quality Handling

  • Plan and manage customer and third-party inspections.

  • Ensure readiness for FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and documentation.

  • Address inspection observations and ensure compliance.

People & Team Management

  • Lead cross-functional project teams.

  • Resolve conflicts and ensure smooth collaboration.

  • Drive accountability and performance across teams.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify project risks early and develop mitigation plans.

  • Track deviations and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical engineering.

  • Experience in sales, Project Management or related field.

  • Min 15+Years of Experience in Switchgear Industry

  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • Should have a high level of self-motivation and the ability to deliver results.
  • Good problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work in team, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Lead and manage a team of Project , logistic and coordinators.
  • Analyze Project planning, forecasting, budget and sales data for improvisation
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives for Project Management.

Responsibilities:
1) Project Planning: Produce workstream or project plans, ensuring that all activities are identified, are appropriately organized to deliver project objectives, and comply with the organization's project management framework.
2) Project Scope Definition: Manage the delivery of research, workshops, and other activities to support the specification and agreement of project deliverables.
3) Stakeholder Management: Plan and deliver stakeholder engagement activities to develop effective working relationships for projects and to ensure that stakeholder needs and concerns are identified and met.
4) Requirements Management: Coordinate the identification and elicitation of requirements; conduct analysis of those requirements for completion and alignment; document and manage requirements throughout the life of the project; and coordinate the verification of the end deliverable. Generally done at the level of project phases.
5) Project Risk and Issue Management: Identify and evaluate risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with the project, escalating matters where appropriate. Where necessary, develop, agree on, and implement solutions to overcome these concerns.
6) Project Reporting and Review: Draft project review reports and presentations, including key information, commentary, and recommendations, to support the review process and enable stakeholders to evaluate progress and agree on change.
7) Project Team Management: Lead a small project team; communicate the necessary outcomes and the direction required to achieve them; coordinate team actions on project tasks; request additional team member support when needed; and identify areas of improvement to build the capability of the team through training, coaching, and mentoring.
8) Continuous Improvement: Contribute to reviewing existing operations in own area of work, and generate new ideas to assist in identifying continuous improvements.
9) Project Resource Management: Manage the deployment of project resources, proactively managing project costs, providing forecasts, and presenting variances with narrative at appropriate review points to ensure effective utilization.
10) Work Scheduling and Allocation: Assign short-term work schedules to a team of subordinates in order to achieve expectations while following established timelines.
11) Document Preparation: Prepare moderately complex documents using a variety of applications for technology devices, such as standard office software. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for reports.
12) Project Closeout and Handover: Draft elements of product documentation and user training to support handover to business as usual. Contribute to post-project reviews and identification of lessons learned.
13) Project Assurance: Conduct assurance reviews within the project, facilitate the delivery of assurance reviews by independent third parties, and take appropriate action to resolve any issues identified, so that senior stakeholders have confidence that the project can deliver according to time, budget, and quality.
14) Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.



Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level

General Experience Requirement: Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems (7 to 12 months)

Managerial Experience Requirement: Basic experience of coordinating the work of others (4 to 6 months)
