Job Summary: We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Compliance Engineer to join our team. This role ensures the accuracy & reliability of our global research into building codes, construction standards, and regulations. Responsibilities include auditing research outputs and assisting the team in interpreting and applying relevant codes and standards to support global product compliance.
Experience: 5+ Years Experience
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive reviews on relevant standards and regulations research done by the research team based on international standards and codes in the fields of Building Envelope, Building Services, Fenestration, Façade and Structural Engineering. Checking the interpretation of the standards and verifying applicability relative to local building regulations.
Mitigate compliance risks by ensuring interpretations align with regulatory intent
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product design, engineering, and manufacturing, to address issues and implement corrective actions.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
Develop test plans, equivalency reports, and compliance evaluations based on technical research.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Product Testing, Building Product Certifications or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of experience standards research or testing, or a related role in the building/construction sector.
Strong knowledge of the building industry standards and regulations or product standards, including IBC, IRC, NZ/AS, ISO, ASTM, UL and other relevant international standards, Codes, or regulations.
Ability to translate complex regulatory language into actionable guidance for cross-functional team
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Good verbal and written English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in construction industry products, testing, certification, and compliance.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements for international markets.
