CAD Designer (Highway Rail)

- Prepare detailed alignment drawings for highway and railway projects, including:
- Typical cross-sections and running cross-sections
- Longitudinal profiles
- Horizontal alignment plans
- Strip plans
- LWR & CWR plans (railway works)
- Develop and maintain 2D/3D design models using AutoCAD and Civil 3D in accordance with approved design criteria.
- Assist design engineers in geometric design development, quantity take-offs, and BOQ preparation.
- Work with and manage multiple design inputs, including:
- Survey data (total station, DGPS, LiDAR where applicable)
- Alignment geometry data
- Digital Terrain Models (DTM) and surface models
- GIS base maps and utility data
- Point files, corridor models, and reference drawings
- Ensure all drawings comply with applicable standards and guidelines, including but not limited to:
- IRC and MoRTH specifications for highway projects
- IRPWM, IRSOD, and RDSO guidelines for railway projects
- Client-specific technical requirements and internal QA/QC standards
- Translate design calculations, alignment reports, and design notes into accurate technical drawings.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (structures, drainage, utilities, traffic, signaling, etc.) to ensure fully integrated and clash-free drawing outputs.
- Support internal and external design reviews, audits, and approvals by incorporating comments and maintaining compliance.
- Stay updated with latest AutoCAD functionalities, templates, and automation tools.
