We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Plant Head to lead our Iron Ore Beneficiation plant operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, ensuring optimal production, efficiency, safety, and quality. This role requires a strong leader with extensive technical expertise in iron ore beneficiation processes and a proven track record in managing large-scale industrial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire iron ore beneficiation plant operations, ensuring the achievement of production targets, quality specifications, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize plant performance, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
- Manage and lead a diverse team of engineers, supervisors, and plant personnel, fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and high performance.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies, promoting a zero-harm workplace.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability, including preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, quality, cost, and safety, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Prepare and manage the annual operational budget, controlling expenditures and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Implement and manage quality control systems to ensure the beneficiated iron ore meets required market specifications.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through process optimization, technology upgrades, and best practice implementation.
- Liaise with various internal departments such (e.g., Sales, Logistics, Finance, HR) and external stakeholders (e.g., regulatory bodies, suppliers).
- Prepare regular reports on plant performance, operational challenges, and strategic initiatives for senior management.
- Conduct regular plant inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure operational compliance.
