Sturlite Electric is a fast-growing FMEG (Fast Moving Electrical Goods) company headquartered in Bengaluru, with a 25-state presence and a portfolio spanning Professional Lighting, Wires & Cables (Voltedge), Switches, and Solar (Zevolt). We are in an exciting phase of category expansion - the Switches business is being built ground-up with a July 2025 Karnataka launch, and we are looking for people who want to be part of building something from scratch.
THE ROLE
As a Territory Sales Manager, you are the face of Sturlite Switches in your district. You will work the counters, run dealer meets, build electrician relationships, and ensure our products are visible and moving. This is a high-ownership, high-activity field role - suited for someone who loves being out in the market and building relationships that convert.
What You Will Do
Drive primary sales to dealers and distributors in the assigned district / territory on a weekly and monthly basis
Conduct structured dealer visits, counter activations and product demonstrations to grow presence at the trade level
Build relationships with architects, contractors, structural engineers and builders to unlock project opportunities
Plan and execute dealer meets, training sessions and product launches in the territory; address groups with confidence
Ensure scheme communication reaches the last mile - every dealer and sub-dealer should know the current offer
Monitor secondary sales and sell-through at key counters; flag slow-moving stock and help dealers liquidate
Execute trade marketing and visual merchandising plans to improve brand visibility at priority counters
Collect secondary data, competitor activity, pricing information and trade feedback; report to State Head weekly
Support new dealer / distributor appointments in the territory as directed by the State Head
Coordinate with the Loyalty Executive to ensure electrician engagement is aligned with dealer activity
What We Are Looking For
38 years of field sales experience in Switches, Wiring Accessories, Lighting, MCBs or allied electrical categories
Strong existing connect with dealers and distributors in the assigned district; ability to open new relationships
Comfort engaging with architects, electrical contractors and builders for project pipeline development
Ability to conduct and address dealer meets, product demos and group presentations with confidence
Organised and disciplined in field reporting - beat planning, call reports and data submissions done on time
Basic proficiency in using mobile apps for reporting, order capture and loyalty programme tracking
Willingness to be in the field 45 days a week; own two-wheeler preferred for intra-district movement
Kannada language proficiency (required for Karnataka territories)
GOOD TO HAVE
Prior experience at Havells, GM Modular, Legrand, Anchor (Panasonic), Roma/Crabtree or equivalent switches brands
Exposure to project sales or influencer (electrician/contractor) engagement programmes
Experience working under a loyalty app or trade activation programme
