Manages a team of market researchers to produce market-related intelligence used in sales and marketing strategy formulation. Requires expertise in study design, interpretation, and a broad understanding of the organization's products, services, and markets. Applies marketing methodologies, gathers data from diverse sources (including sales data), monitors and evaluates market trends and activities, and makes recommendations based on the findings, proposing possible business opportunities or marketing strategies that will improve the position and profitability of the organization.
Job Responsibilities
Economic Research
Delivers prescribed outcomes for a designated part of an economic research program by working within established research systems.
Customer Needs/Experience Research
Complete research and analyze data to develop and/or support a sound understanding of customer segments, trends, needs, and expectations.
Marketing Impact Assessment
Collect customer and market data that contributes to the review of marketing activities.
Information and Business Advice
Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and the related policies, referring to others where necessary for interpretation of policy.
Data Collection and Analysis
Collate and analyze data using pre-set tools, methods and formats. Involves working independently.
Insights and Reporting
Contribute to the preparation of various data and analytics reports.
Data Management
Help others get the most out of data management systems by providing support and advice.
Leadership and Direction
Explain the local action plan to support team members in their understanding of what needs to be done, and how this relates to the broader business plan and the organization's strategy, mission and vision; motivate people to achieve local business goals.
Performance Management
Respond to personal objectives and use performance management systems to improve personal performance. Â OR Monitor the performance of the team; allocate work and review completion, take appropriate corrective action to ensure timeliness and quality; contribute to formal individual performance management and appraisal.
Organizational Capability Building
Provide coaching to team members to develop their skills.
Budgeting
Monitor and analyze data using budgeting systems and protocols.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level 6
