Firewall Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, implement, and manage enterprise firewall solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network security incidents.
• Manage firewall policies, VPNs, NAT, and security rule changes.
• Perform packet analysis, security monitoring, and root cause analysis.
• Integrate firewalls with Active Directory, IAM, SIEM, and other security tools.
• Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and maintain security compliance.
• Collaborate with internal teams and OEM vendors for issue resolution.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Network Security and Firewall Administration.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco ASA, or Fortinet firewalls.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, VPN, NAT, and the OSI Model.
• Experience working with Windows, Linux, and Unix environments.
• Familiarity with SIEM, IAM, packet capture tools (Wireshark/tcpdump), and ITSM processes.
• Firewall certification (Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco ASA, or Fortinet) is preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Network Security and Firewall Administration.
• Preferred certifications: Palo Alto (PCNSA/PCNSE), Check Point (CCSA/CCSE), Cisco CCNA Security/CCNP Security, or Fortinet NSE/FCP.
