Role Purpose
The Finance Manager is responsible for all aspects of financial management, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as all statutory requirements. Responsible for day to day accounting and financial management of RBS and all local subsidiaries.
Reports To Chief Financial Officer
Minimum Academic Qualification Requirements B.Comm (with Articles)
Qualified Chartered Accountant preferred
Minimum Experience Requirements 3-5 years working experience in a Financial Management role
Budget Preparation and Reporting
Cashflow preparation and analysis
Knowldege of strategic and financial planning
Knowledge of Investments and Education sector (Advantageous)

1 Financial Management
Ensure all statutory financial submissions are completed monthly, bi-annually and annually
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Prepare and review reconciliation of relevant GL accounts
- Reconciling loan accounts with other affiliated entities and subsidiaries
- Prepare annual budget and forecast
- Process all invoices and ensure they are appropriately authorized in accordance with the companies financial procedures
- Make payments of all authorized invoices
- Provide sound financial advice to the Executive Management team
- Ensure financial policies and procedures are up to date
- Assist with the financial aspects of all contract negotiations

2 Reporting
- Prepare analysis of financial information for monitoring reports as and when required
- Prepare reports to assist with year-end audit
- Preparing Payroll reconciliations
- Preparing Group consolidated monthly accounts and reports

- Review asset utilisation and operational expenditure
- Compute benefits of Buy vs Lease decisions
4 People Management
Team player, able to work with all parts of the business
- Supervise and train creditor’s and debtor’s administrators
- Establish working relationships with Banks, Regulators and other bodies
