Staff Product Applications Engineer
Analog Devices’ Consumer Audio team develops cutting-edge products for hearables, hearing health, and prosumer audio markets. Our mixed-signal audio edge processors combine precision audio, heterogeneous processing, power management, connectivity, and algorithms to enable next-generation user experiences.
In this role, you will lead product applications for advanced audio SoCs, driving adoption from silicon readiness through customer deployment while working across silicon, embedded software, and system-level use cases with global cross-functional teams.
As a technical anchor within the Bangalore team, you will influence product usability, evaluation platforms, collateral, and customer engagement strategies to deliver scalable, high-quality application solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BSEE/MSEE in Electronics or equivalent degree with 8+ years of progressive experience in applications engineering, validation, product support and/or embedded systems development
- Strong hands-on technical ownership in product bring-up, debug, or deployment of mixed-signal ICs and audio signal chains.
- Working knowledge of wireless connectivity, such as Bluetooth, in embedded audio systems
- Strong programming experience in C/C++ and/or Python for embedded bring-up, debug, automation, and data analysis
- Experience with PCB bring-up, schematic review, and board level debugging and lab instrumentation
- Proven ability to independently lead complex technical efforts, resolve ambiguous technical issues and influence cross-functional teams
- Broad technical depth across multiple domains such as embedded software, hardware bring-up, connectivity and audio systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience collaborating across customers, field teams, and globally distributed engineering teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead customer and field support engagements, driving issue resolution, system-level debugging, and escalation management
- Leverage deep product expertise and influence product usability, feature definition, and debug methodologies
- Architect and guide development of reusable reference platforms, evaluation kits, scalable application frameworks, and debug methodologies that improve efficiency across products and customers
- Define and deliver high-quality technical collateral (application notes, system guides, integration documentation) with a focus on clarity and adoption
- Lead and drive closure of debugging efforts across silicon, firmware, and system integration layers to accelerate time-to-market
- Collaborate with product design, system applications, and software teams to drive product readiness, design improvements and feature prioritization
- Support and lead development of customer demos, proof-of-concept systems, and platform showcases
- Mentor junior engineers, provide technical direction, and establish best practices that strengthen applications engineering capability within the team
- Influence product lifecycle execution by providing early application insights, validation feedback, and customer use-case inputs
- Work effectively across global teams to ensure alignment on product readiness and customer success
