This is your role. What part will you play?
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Scheduling: Develop and implement robust production plans and schedules that align with sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory targets.
Optimize production sequences and resource allocation (labor, machinery, materials) to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
Monitor production progress against schedules, identify potential bottlenecks, and proactively implement corrective actions.
Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment and feasibility of production plans.
Manage capacity planning to ensure adequate resources are available for current and future production needs. Inventory Management:
Oversee raw material, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory levels to optimize stock turns while minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
Implement and maintain effective inventory control systems and strategies (e.g., JIT, Kanban).
Conduct regular inventory analysis, identify discrepancies, and drive continuous improvement in inventory accuracy.
Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely and cost-effective material availability.
Logistics & Distribution Management: Manage inbound and outbound logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
Negotiate and manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers to ensure cost-effective and reliable delivery.
Optimize shipping routes, methods, and packaging to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
Ensure compliance with all relevant domestic and international shipping regulations and customs requirements.
Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring efficient storage, retrieval, and dispatch of materials and products.
Process Improvement & Systems Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements within production planning, scheduling, and logistics functions.
Lead initiatives to implement Lean principles, automation, and digital tools to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Utilize ERP systems (e.g., SAP PP/MM/SD modules) and other planning software to optimize planning and logistics processes.
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for planning, inventory, and logistics, reporting on performance and driving continuous improvement.
Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production planners, schedulers, and logistics coordinators.
Foster a collaborative, high-performance, and safety-conscious work environment.
Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and identify training needs for team members.
Technical Skills: Expertise in production planning methodologies (e.g., MRP, MPS, capacity planning).
Proficiency in inventory management techniques and optimization strategies.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS)
Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

You are a Mechanical/Electrical/Production/Industrial Engineer (B.E. / B.Tech)
You've 12-15 years’ experience in switchgear production industry, other relevant industry.
You’ve basic knowledge of commercial concepts of business and good working knowledge of MS Office.
You’ve strong written and verbal communication skills.
