About Sturlite

Sturlite Electric is a fast-growing FMEG (Fast Moving Electrical Goods) company headquartered in Bengaluru, with a 25-state presence and a portfolio spanning Professional Lighting, Wires & Cables (Voltedge), Switches, and Solar (Zevolt). We are in an exciting phase of category expansion - the Switches business is being built ground-up with a July 2025 Karnataka launch, and we are looking for people who want to be part of building something from scratch.

THE ROLE

As Product Head / State Head for the Switches category, you will own the commercial agenda for your region. This is a P&L-anchored role - you set the strategy, build the channel, coach the team, and drive revenue week on week. You will be among the founding members of the Sturlite Switches business, which means your decisions will shape how the category is positioned in the market.

What You Will Do

Own primary and secondary sales targets for the Switches category in the assigned region (North or South Karnataka + Goa)

Build, expand and manage the dealer and distributor network; identify and appoint new channel partners in underpenetrated districts

Drive secondary sell-out through TSMs; monitor sales velocity, scheme compliance and collection discipline

Set territory-wise channel strategy, pricing discipline, scheme communication and market penetration plans

Conduct regular market visits, competitor intelligence gathering and trade feedback loops; report insights to leadership

Coach, review and appraise TSMs and Loyalty Executives; drive accountability through structured weekly reviews

Represent Sturlite Switches at dealer meets, product launches and trade events in the region

Work with marketing to localise campaigns and ensure brand visibility at key counters and project sites

Collaborate with supply chain and logistics to ensure product availability and fulfilment for channel partners

Report on region performance, pipeline and risks to the Business Head on a weekly and monthly cadence

What We Are Looking For

10+ years of sales experience in Switches, Wiring Accessories, or allied FMEG categories (Lighting, MCB, Fans)

Demonstrated track record of managing a regional P&L and achieving consistent sales targets

Strong dealer and distributor ecosystem knowledge in Karnataka; existing relationships a significant advantage

Experience managing a team of field sales executives / TSMs; ability to motivate and hold people accountable

Solid grasp of secondary sales dynamics, scheme structuring and channel margin management

Comfortable with data - can read sell-in / sell-out reports and translate them into field action plans

Strong communication and influencing skills; able to command respect with trade partners and internal stakeholders

Face value and gravitas to represent the brand at dealer meets and industry forums

GOOD TO HAVE

Prior experience at Havells, Legrand, GM Modular, Panasonic Life Solutions, Schneider Electric or equivalent

Exposure to electrician loyalty or influencer programmes

Kannada language proficiency (for North/South Karnataka territories)
