National Institute of Technology Calicut, Kerala, India, invites applications for Faculty Position in NITC from eligible and interested candidates.
About- National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) is one of India’s premier national institutions for technical education. This was formerly known as Calicut Regional Engineering College. NITC is a technical institution of national importance set up by an Act of Parliament (Act 29 of 2007). NITC offers academic programs leading to B.Tech., B. Arch., M.Tech., M.Plan., M.C.A., M.Sc., M.B.A., and Ph.D. degrees in the appropriate disciplines. NITC is engaged in various activities covering research and development, industrial consultancy, continuing education and faculty & staff development. Faculty Positions – 2019 in NITC
Research/Job Area-
Each department has specific preferred areas, including but not limited to:
- Computer Science & Engineering: Quantum Computing, Computer Graphics
- Civil Engineering: Construction Engineering, Technology and Management, Infrastructure and Construction Management
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering: Cybersecurity, AI in Power Systems, Robotics, Automation, High Power Converters
- Chemistry: Inorganic Chemistry (Organometallic, Coordination Chemistry)
- Architecture & Planning: Urban Design, Computational Architecture, Interior Design
- Physics: Quantum Computing and Information (excluding Quantum Materials)
- Electronics & Communication Engineering: Circuits/Devices for Quantum Computing, Edge AI, Digital Twin, Flexible Electronics
- Mechanical Engineering: Supply Chain Analytics & Optimization, Digital Supply Chain, Human Factors & Ergonomics
- Management Studies: Financial Management
- Education: Education Psychology, Teaching Methodologies (Physics, Chemistry, Math, Social Science)
- Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences: Sociology, Social Work (PG & Ph.D.)
Eligibility-
- Assistant Professor (Grade I, Pay Level-12):
- Ph.D. with a consistently good academic record
- 3 years post-Ph.D. or 6 years total teaching/research/industry experience
- 20 credit points (as per NIT norms)
- Associate Professor (Pay Level-13A2):
- Ph.D. with a consistently good academic record
- 6 years post-Ph.D. with at least 3 years as Assistant Professor (Pay Level-12)
- Or 9 years total experience with 3 post-Ph.D. years and 3 at Assistant Professor level
- 50 credit points
- Professor (Pay Level-14A):
- Ph.D. with a consistently good academic record
- 10 years post-Ph.D. or 13 years total experience (7 years after Ph.D.)
- At least 3 years as Associate Professor (Level-13A2) or equivalent
- 80 credit points
