About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
We are seeking SMTS/MTS engineers to join our Dedicated Environment Team for Salesforce Marketing Cloud, building and maintaining stable, production-like environments for complex cross-cloud journeys from Sprint 1 onwards. Eliminate "assumptions-based development" and reduce late-cycle bug discovery by providing developers and QE teams with representative environments throughout the release cycle—not just during integration testing.
Key Responsibilities
Environment Provisioning & Management
- Design and provision complex Marketing Cloud environments supporting MCA, MCE (Advanced/Account Engagement) and cross-cloud scenarios
- Establish and maintain program-level environment catalog with clear documentation of purpose, release version, stability status, and availability
- Provision environments in parallel with engineering design phases (LLD/BUP/spikes) to ensure Day 1 Sprint 1 availability
- Manage complex permission set stacking, licensing configurations, and Hyperforce region topologies
Infrastructure as Code & Automation
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code templates (Terraform, Ansible) for repeatable environment provisioning and org-farm configurations
- Build self-service tooling enabling developers and QE to independently provision environments and generate test data
- Create intelligent automation for drift detection, self-healing remediation, and proactive health monitoring
- Leverage AI/LLM APIs (Claude, OpenAI) for intelligent environment orchestration and synthetic test data generation
CI/CD & Deployment Automation
- Contribute to FIT (Functional Integration Test) pipeline automation using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms
- Automate deployment workflows to reduce manual toil and improve environment consistency
- Implement automated smoke tests and health checks with published dashboards visible to all stakeholders
Monitoring, Alerting & Incident Response
- Establish proactive monitoring using Splunk, Datadog, or similar tools to detect environment degradation, drift, and availability issues
- Maintain 95%+ availability SLA for critical environments; ensure cross-cloud environments ready by Sprint 2
- Participate in on-call rotation with clear runbooks, targeting <4 hour MTTR during active development/testing cycles
- Surface environment-level gaps proactively to engineering and architecture before they become blockers
Cross-Team Collaboration & Escalation Management
- Handling environment and infrastructure issues, eliminating multi-hop escalations across Data Platform, Customer Engagement, Environment Automation, and E-Commerce teams.
- Establish fast-path escalation protocols with data platform, communication channel, core infrastructure, and cross-cloud engineering teams.
- Partner with Data Platform teams on tenant provisioning, system configuration, and data integration issues.
- Coordinate with multi-channel communication teams for sandbox environments and API integration setups.
- Translate product requirements and technical architecture designs (HLD/LLD) into concrete environment and infrastructure specifications.
