Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced, and leadership-oriented professional for the position of Area Sales Manager (ASM). The candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, achieving sales targets, managing and mentoring Sales Officers (SOs), and expanding market presence within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership qualities, excellent market knowledge, and the ability to build and manage high-performing sales networks.

Key Responsibilities

Achieve area-wise primary and secondary sales targets consistently

Lead, guide, and motivate Sales Officers (SOs) to maximize team performance

Appoint, develop, and manage distributors, stockists, and retail networks

Monitor daily field activities and ensure effective market coverage

Develop and implement sales strategies to improve business growth and market share

Ensure proper execution of trade schemes, promotional activities, and branding campaigns

Analyze sales performance, competitor activities, and market trends regularly

Conduct joint market visits with team members for business development and performance monitoring

Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key customers

Ensure timely collections and maintain commercial discipline in the assigned territory

Prepare sales reports, forecasts, business reviews, and growth plans for management

Identify new business opportunities and expand channel reach in the territory

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelors degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field

5 to 10 years of experience in FMCG, Pharma, OTC, Ayurvedic, or Health & Wellness sales

Proven experience in handling sales teams and territory management

Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills

Ability to work under pressure and achieve challenging business targets

Excellent market understanding and business development capability

Strong distributor and channel management experience

Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting, and sales analysis

Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned territory
