Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Teamcenter Application Support Engineer to manage, support, enhance, develop, and optimize Yamaha's global Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of the Teamcenter application while providing high-quality application support to global business users. The successful candidate will work closely with Yamaha's IT teams across the US, Japan, and other regional locations to deliver reliable support and drive system enhancements.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Providing Level 2 and Level 3 application support, troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, monitoring system performance, managing application configurations, and ensuring the smooth operation of Teamcenter environments.
  • Supporting system upgrades, patch implementations, release management, workflow customization, user administration, security management, and integration support with enterprise applications.

Operational Requirements

  • Active participation in change management, incident management, problem resolution, and root cause analysis while ensuring compliance with organizational standards and best practices.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business users, infrastructure teams, developers, vendors, and project managers, to implement new features, optimize existing workflows, and improve overall system efficiency.
  • Providing off-hour production support and coordinating with global teams across multiple time zones to ensure business continuity and timely issue resolution.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Teamcenter PLM architecture, workflow management, BMIDE customization, Active Workspace, integrations, SQL databases, and enterprise application support.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting enterprise-scale Teamcenter implementations and PLM environments in manufacturing organizations will be considered a strong advantage.
