Role Description This is a full-time, on-site DevOps Engineer role based in Coimbatore. The DevOps Engineer will design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure to support web, mobile, and AI-driven applications, ensuring reliability, security, and performance. Daily responsibilities include managing CI pipelines, configuring and monitoring production environments, automating deployments, and collaborating with development and QA teams to streamline release cycles. The role involves applying Infrastructure as Code practices, overseeing Linux-based systems, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing resource usage. The DevOps Engineer will also contribute to improving operational processes, documentation, and tooling to support Appzeon’s growth and innovation-focused culture.
Qualifications
- Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar, with experience automating provisioning and configuration of cloud or on-prem environments.
- Software Development experience (e.g., Python, Go, Java, or similar), with the ability to build scripts, utilities, and integrations that support CI/CD and operational workflows.
- Hands-on Continuous Integration and delivery experience, including designing and maintaining pipelines with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or comparable platforms.
- Solid System Administration background, including managing servers, networking basics, security hardening, monitoring, and incident response in production environments.
- Proficiency with Linux operating systems, shell scripting, and troubleshooting performance, configuration, and security issues on Linux-based servers.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and document infrastructure, processes, and runbooks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior DevOps, SRE, or systems engineering experience is preferred.
