The Senior Executive Business Finance will support financial planning, performance tracking, and data-driven decision-making for the manufacturing business. The role partners closely with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to improve profitability, strengthen financial discipline, and enhance reporting and controls.
Role & Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Performance Management
- Lead FP&A activities including budgeting exercise
- Deliver detailed variance analysis with clear, actionable recommendations.
- Track key cost drivers across products, plants, and markets.
- Prepare monthly MIS packs and performance dashboards for leadership review.
- Conduct monthly inventory analysis and drive initiatives to reduce slow-moving and obsolete stock (SLOB)
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, procurement, and commercial teams to support business decisions.
- Support pricing strategy, product profitability analysis, and business case development for new initiatives and investments.
- Provide financial insights to improve operational efficiency and drive cost optimization initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, financial policies, and governance standards.
- Support internal and external audits and coordinate required documentation.
- Strengthen financial processes and identify opportunities for automation and reporting improvements.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, FMCG, or healthcare manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to international markets, particularly Africa or Asia, is advantageous.
- 45 years of experience in business finance, commercial finance, or FP&A
- Strong analytical, financial modelling, and problem-solving capability.
- Advanced MS Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred).
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management capability.
- Clear communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
