Job Roles & Responsibilities

  • Drafting of agreements
  • In house Drafting of various legal documents like: LOI, term sheet, leave & license agreement, lease deed, conveyance deed, power of attorney affidavits, indemnity, service agreement, confidentiality agreement, engagement letter, procurement agreement etc.
  • Drafting legal documents for business functions as per organization requirement.
  • Examine contracts made by Contracts team to provide legal controls and checkpoints. advising on contract disputes
  • Facilitates the entire process of Stamp Duty and registration of the legal documents.
  • Legal Advisory support
  • Advises customer on stamp duty and other relevant regulations.
  • Provide timely advice to other departments on concerns / queries and on various issues with reference to compliance to various real estate and land and property laws PAN India and good governance practices.
  • Generate a knowledge repository for updates on laws, regulations, ordinances, by- laws relating to real estate industry and make the same available to the team.
  • Handle litigations filed by the Company and against the Company, including instruction to the lawyers and interact with the senior counsels.
  • Process Adherence
  • Complies with company defined guidelines and processes.
  • Adheres to project timelines.
  • Process Improvement
  • Identifies processes / procedures in own work area that need improvement.
  • Recommends process improvement ideas to streamline efficiency / costs / productivity.
  • Undertake process improvement activities in own work area.
  • Keep oneself updated of legal developments.

Qualification & Experience

  • LLB &/ or LLM with 6-10 Yrs (preferable from a law firm or Real Estate or PE fund Industry).
  • Has knowledge of land related laws and has handled title due diligence and has knowledge of revenue/land records PAN India.
  • Has experience in handling Real Estate transactions including (a) drafting of Joint venture agreements, development agreements, conveyance deeds, Lease deeds power of attorney; (b) negotiations with the opposite party for finalization and closure of transactions; (c) SPA, SHA & other shareholders agreement.
  • Support Leasing team in drafting various other letters such as Fitout Side Letter/ car park letter and various other NOCs and relevant documents.
  • Has hands-on experience in handling customer related issues including (a) drafting of application forms, allotment letters, buyer’s agreements, conveyance deeds, maintenance agreements, etc.; and (b) handling disputes raised by the partner, clients, third party and in relation to projects.
  • Extending support to internal and external stakeholders to resolve disputes, matters, conflicts during course of business.
