Job Summary

The Automation Jr. Engineer I at Jabil, Inc. supports the design, development, and implementation of automated systems and processes, contributing to efficiency and innovation in manufacturing operations.

Job Responsibilities

Assist in the design, development, and testing of automation solutions, including robotics, PLCs, and control systems.
Support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated equipment and machinery.
Collaborate with senior engineers to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
Participate in the creation and review of technical documentation, schematics, and operating procedures.
Conduct basic programming and configuration of automation components under supervision.
Perform routine diagnostics and preventative maintenance on automated systems.
Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards in all automation activities.
Provide technical support to production teams as needed.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
Basic understanding of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) and HMI development.
Familiarity with industrial automation concepts, sensors, actuators, and control systems.
Knowledge of robotic systems and their applications is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Prior internship or project experience in automation or manufacturing environments is desirable.
