Network Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Network Engineer role based at eCAPS’ head office in Coimbatore. The Network Engineer will design, implement, and maintain data networks and related infrastructure for internal operations and client environments. Responsibilities include configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices, monitoring network performance, and performing preventive maintenance. The role involves diagnosing and resolving network issues, ensuring network security controls are properly implemented, and supporting deployments of NETFOX and other partner solutions. The Network Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, document network configurations and changes, and provide technical support and guidance to colleagues, partners, and customers as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Network Engineering and Network Design for LAN, WAN, and wireless environments.
• Hands-on experience with Network Administration, including configuration and management of routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Demonstrated ability in Troubleshooting network issues, performance bottlenecks, and connectivity problems.
• Practical knowledge of Network Security principles, policies, and tools, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and products, preferably Kaspersky, SonicWall, or similar enterprise solutions.
• Experience working with passive and active networking components such as copper and fiber cabling, racks, and PoE switches.
• Relevant technical education (e.g., degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field).
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or equivalent are an advantage.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
• Ability to work on-site in Coimbatore, collaborate in a team environment, and support customer-facing activities when required.
