About- National Institute of Technology Raipur (Formerly Government Engineering College Raipur), situated in the capital of a newly incepted state of Chhattisgarh, has proven to be “avant-grade’ in the field of science and technology over past few decades in this region. From 1st December 2005, the institute has become the National Institute of Technology. The Institute is contributing to the technological, industrial and economical development of the region and the country for last five decades. The Institute has long recognized its role in engineering education, generation and dissemination of useful and relevant technologies in the service of the society.

Eligibility-
- Prescribed minimum qualification and experience:
- Common Essential Educational Requirements:
For Architecture Departments: B. Arch. or equivalent and M.Arch./M.Plan. or equivalent and Ph.D. in relevant/ equivalent discipline with first class in the preceding degrees. B. Arch. with direct Ph.D. with first class in preceding degree will also be considered.
For Non-Engineering Departments: Ph.D. degree in the relevant or equivalent discipline with first class in preceding degrees.
Experience
Experience as per clarification no. 7, MoE, GoI (erstwhile MHRD), F.No.33-9/2011-TS.III, dated 16th April, 2019, (including prior to implementation of NIRF) shall be considered if acquired in any of the following Institutions:
- Fully Funded Central Educational Institutions.
- IIMs & Other management Institutions ranked by NIRF up to 50 for any two years.
- State Educational Institutions funded by respective State Government.
- Other Educational Institutions ranked by NIRF up to 100 in Overall, Universities, Engineering and 10 for Architecture, for any two years.
Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for positions of the Professors at Pay Level 14-A of the Pay Matrix of the 7th Central Pay Commission or any other corresponding pay scale or pay level approved by the Central Government or the Council, as the case may be. Apart from Indian Citizens, candidates holding Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card would also be eligible to apply for above posts.
Name of the Post Pay scale Professor Pay Level -14A
- Period of Probation: One year for regular appointments only (for Pay Level 12 and above) and not for contract appointments in regular pay-scale. Annual Increment will be given after successful completion of probation period for the regular appointees.
- Application Processing Fee:
- Each application must be accompanied by a non-refundable Processing Fee of Rs. 2500/- (Rupees Two Thousand Five Hundred Only) for UR/ OBC/EWS applicants and Rs. 1250/- (Rupees One Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Only) for SC/ ST/ PWD applicants. No Processing Fee is required from the existing faculty of NIT Raipur. For the candidates applying from abroad, the application fee will be Rs. 5000/- (Rupees Five thousand Only)
- Application filled on the official portal https:\ ecruitment.nitrr.ac.in will only be accepted. Applications received through any other mode shall not be accepted but summarily rejected. Applicants are required to apply separately for different disciplines/departments. A print-out of the application form obtained from the on-line portal duly signed (each page) by the candidate should be sent to the Institute along with self-attested photocopies of the supporting documents, testimonials and the proof of fees paid, etc. The duly completed application form, along with above-mentioned enclosures must be sent by speed/registered post/by hand to the Director, National Institute of Technology Raipur, Raipur -492 010, Chhattisgarh, India failing which their candidature will not be considered.
- Complete hardcopy of application forms for each applied branch/discipline must be submitted in separate envelopes. The envelope containing the application must be superscribed as “Application for the Post of Professor in the Department of ………
- Deadline for online applications is 28/08/2023 till 5:30 PM and the last date of receiving hard copies of the printout of the applications prepared as given in point 10 above is 04/09/2023 up to 5:30 PM.
Last Date for Apply– 28 August 2023
The portal for online application will be available from 07/08/2023 from12:00 noon.
Last date of submission of online application is_28/08/2023 till 05:30 PM.
Last date of receipt of hard copy of duly filled application form, along with all supporting documents, duly self-attested, and application fee details is 04/09/2023: 5:30 P.M.
