DESCRIPTION

Join a quality leadership role within the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) at Thermo Fisher Scientific, supporting Environmental Process Monitoring (EPM) through analyzer building manufacturing excellence. As Team Leader, QA, you'll guide a team ensuring the highest standards of product quality, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction for sophisticated environmental monitoring analyzers. You'll oversee critical quality systems including batch record review, deviation management, document control, and quality investigations while supporting a culture of continuous improvement. Your responsibilities will include calibration oversight, component testing protocols, and final assembly quality checks to ensure our analyzers meet stringent performance and accuracy standards. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by safeguarding product quality and enabling accurate environmental monitoring through effective team leadership, process optimization, and collaboration across manufacturing operations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Advanced Degree or Bachelor's Degree plus experience in analyzer manufacturing, environmental monitoring equipment, or related quality assurance/manufacturing roles
  • Preferred Fields of Study: Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related scientific field
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CQA, CQE) preferred
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or other quality/environmental management standards preferred
  • 1+ years of leadership/supervisory experience managing direct reports
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements for analytical instruments and environmental monitoring equipment
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and risk-based approaches
  • Experience with analyzer calibration processes and verification protocols
  • Knowledge of component testing, final assembly quality checks, and instrument validation
  • Demonstrated ability to lead batch record review and quality investigations
  • Experience with quality documentation systems and electronic QMS platforms
  • Proficiency in data analysis, metrics tracking and trending
  • Advanced knowledge of deviation management and CAPA processes
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, and R&D teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and quality systems (TrackWise, SAP, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work in manufacturing/assembly environments as needed
  • May require occasional weekend/holiday coverage
  • English language proficiency required, additional languages beneficial
  • Experience with customer/regulatory audits preferred
