Job Summary
Translate Business Needs: Conduct workshops with engineering and manufacturing teams to turn complex workflows into clear Windchill system requirements.
Minimize Custom Code: Advocate strongly for Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) Windchill features to keep the system easy to upgrade.
Author Functional Specs: Create detailed Functional Design Documents (FDD) that guide developers on how to configure the platform.
Map Integration Fields: Build data dictionaries that connect Windchill attributes to downstream systems like SAP or Oracle ERP.
Align Cross-System Logic: Define the exact release triggers and lifecycle states that push data from Windchill to external systems.
Govern Data Migration: Establish data cleaning and transformation rules to successfully move legacy CAD and metadata into Windchill.
Validate Data Integrity: Audit trial migration loads and integration mock runs to ensure structural and historical data accuracy.
Lead Business Testing: Define User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios and coordinate with key users to validate system readiness.
Drive User Adoption: Author targeted training materials and deliver functional walkthroughs to ease the team's transition.
Key Responsibilities
1. To bridge the gap between client needs and business goals by gathering requirements, crafting innovative solutions with deep domain/technology expertise, and driving successful implementations that propel strategic initiatives.
2. To spearhead the architecture, design, and development (through a high-performing team) of innovative solutions for product/project & sustenance delivery, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
3. To ensure knowledge up-gradation and work with new technologies so that the solution is current and meets quality standards and the client requirements
4. To review architecture and design deliverables and ensure solutions adhere to industry best practices ,architectural standards simultaneously establish and enforce governance /compliance measures.
5. To train and develop team so as to ensure that there is an adequate supply of trained manpower in the said technology and delivery risks are mitigated
