Brief Description

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Commodity Sales Head to lead and expand our commodity trading business. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the commodity markets, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record in driving sales, client acquisition, and business growth. This role involves developing sales strategies, leading high-performing teams, and delivering exceptional client experiences across retail, HNI, and institutional segments.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the commodity sales business with a focus on client acquisition, activation, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to promote commodity trading products across retail, HNI, and institutional client segments.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the client base through effective business development initiatives.
  • Build, mentor, and lead the commodity sales team to achieve individual and organizational business objectives.
  • Train and guide sales teams on commodity market fundamentals, product features, risk management, and client suitability.
  • Collaborate with Research, Dealing, Risk Management (RMS), Operations, and Compliance teams to ensure seamless business execution.
  • Monitor commodity market trends and identify opportunities to enhance client engagement and business performance.
  • Track team productivity, client activity, business pipelines, and revenue targets while implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, exchange norms, and internal policies.
  • Prepare and present business performance reports, sales forecasts, and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications and Skills



  • MBA or Graduate in Finance, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7–12 years of experience in commodity sales, commodity broking, or financial services, with proven leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of commodity markets, MCX, commodity trading products, and market dynamics.
  • Proven expertise in sales strategy, business development, and revenue generation.
  • Strong leadership, team management, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent client acquisition and relationship management capabilities across Retail, HNI, and Institutional segments.
  • Strong analytical, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements, risk management, and compliance practices related to commodity trading.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and develop business strategies to capitalize on growth opportunities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and commodity trading platforms.
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and capable of leading teams in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
