About The Team

At Nutanix Cloud Manager (NCM), we are building the next-generation platform to help enter-prises model, develop, and manage applications across hybrid multi-cloud environments. The NCM–Intelligent OPS team is responsible for data ingestion, observability, capacity planning, AI-infra monitoring, Agent powered troubleshooting, robust dashboards, search, and predictive analysis capabilities. The team drives these capabilities across both infrastructure and application layers, specifically leveraging Agentic AI for proactive detection and automation. Additionally, they are dedicated to ensuring the scalability and reliability of high-performing systems within Kubernetes-based environments.

Your Role

  • Team Leadership: Lead and grow a team of 6–10 engineers, balancing technical depth with management responsibilities.
  • Execution & Ownership: Own technical direction and execution, translating product vision into scalable architecture and high-quality deliverables.
  • Technical Excellence: Participate directly in system design reviews, coding reviews, and technical interviews.
  • Process Improvement: Establish and refine engineering processes, including requirements, coding standards, and release maintenance.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Partner with Product Management to align engineering deliverables with business outcomes.
  • Operational Standards: Drive operational excellence in observability, infrastructure monitoring, and application analytics.

What You Will Bring

  • 9–14 years of overall experience with at least 2-4 years in an engineering management or technical leadership role.
  • Strong background in backend engineering, preferably in virtualization or cloud infrastructure.
  • Solid hands-on experience with distributed systems, Kubernetes, and Virtualization
  • Working knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V
  • Proven ability to guide teams working in Go, Java, python or similar systems programming languages.
  • Experience building and operating software on Linux-based systems
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (required)

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role is based in Bengaluru, India. And operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the

benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will

mean coming into an office a minimum 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams

may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will

be provided by your manager
