  • Role Purpose

The Senior Consultant – SAP FICO is an experienced and result-driven professional with strong configuration expertise and a deep understanding of financial processes. The role works on implementations, rollouts, and support projects, collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver effective SAP FICO solutions across Finance and Controlling. Experience in implementation of SAO public Cloud will be an added advantage.

  • Key Responsibilities (Outcome-Based)
  • Lead and execute SAP FICO configuration and customisation activities.
  • Handle incident management, enhancements, and change requests.
  • Work on end-to-end implementations, rollouts, or support engagements.
  • Manage master data setup and governance (GL, vendor, customer, asset).
  • Coordinate and support testing activities (Unit Testing, SIT, UAT).
  • Drive data migration, reconciliation, and validation processes.
  • Collaborate with ABAP/technical teams for custom developments and interfaces.
  • Work closely with business users to gather requirements and provide solutions.
  • Ensure system stability, compliance, and adherence to best practices.
  • Prepare and maintain functional documentation and training materials.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Skills and Experience – Essential
  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP FICO (FI & CO modules).
  • In-depth knowledge of General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting, and Bank Accounting.
  • Good configuration experience in FI (New GL) and CO modules (Cost Center, Profit Center, CO-PA).
  • Experience in SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
  • Understanding of end-to-end business processes (P2P, O2C, R2R).
  • Exposure to implementation, rollout, or support projects.
  • Experience in data migration, LSMW, or migration tools.
  • Knowledge of integration with MM, SD, and other SAP modules.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Experience in preparing functional specifications for developments (RICEF objects).
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Country/Regional Localization and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Experience in implementing and supporting country-specific legal, tax, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GST, VAT, WHT, e-Invoicing, SAF-T, local statutory reporting).
  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud localization features and country-specific Best Practices.
  • Understanding of multi-country/global template deployments and localization rollouts.
  • Knowledge of local financial reporting requirements and integration with tax and compliance solutions.
  • Experience working with SAP Localization Hub, Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC), or other localization solutions is an advantage.
  • Strong expertise in SAP Bank Accounting, including Electronic Bank Statement (EBS), Bank Reconciliation Statement (BRS), House Banks, Bank Determination, Payment Methods, Payment Mediums, and Automatic Payment Program (F110).
  • Hands-on experience with Host-to-Host (H2H) bank integrations, secure bank connectivity, payment file transmission, bank statement processing, and middleware such as SAP Integration Suite, SAP CPI/PI/PO, and third-party banking gateways.
  • In-depth knowledge of bank statement formats (MT940, CAMT.053, BAI2), posting rules, account symbols, interpretation algorithms, and integration with Treasury and Cash Management.
  • Skills and Experience – Desirable
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud localization.
  • Experience with SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC).
  • Experience implementing localization for one or more countries (e.g., India, UAE, Saudi Arabia, UK, Europe, APAC).
  • Knowledge of GST, VAT, WHT, e-Invoicing, Digital Tax Reporting, SAF-T, Intrastat, EC Sales List, and other statutory reporting requirements.
  • Experience in global template rollouts involving multiple countries and localization activities.
  • Experience with SAP Multi-Bank Connectivity (MBC), SWIFT integration, Host-to-Host (H2H), and bank communication protocols (SFTP, HTTPS, API).
  • Experience with ISO 20022 XML payment formats, MT940, CAMT.053/054, BAI2, and other bank file formats.
  • Knowledge of SAP Bank Account Management (BAM), Cash Management, and Treasury integration.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud banking and payment processes.
