Senior Product Manager – Finance Operations (Employee Expense & Corporate Cards)

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Senior Product Manager to lead the Employee Expense and Corporate Cards product portfolio within Finance Operations. This role presents a unique opportunity to define and build the next generation of AI/ML-powered, enterprise-scale financial products that simplify expense management, enhance user experience, strengthen controllership, and deliver meaningful operational cost savings.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will own the product strategy, roadmap, execution, adoption, and success metrics for solutions supporting employee expenses and corporate card programs. You will partner with leading global card providers, internal business teams, and technology organizations to build innovative products that operate at Amazon scale.

The ideal candidate combines strong product management fundamentals with deep customer obsession, analytical rigor, and the ability to influence across a complex stakeholder ecosystem. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, thinking strategically while maintaining operational excellence, and leveraging emerging AI technologies to solve challenging business problems.

This role requires close collaboration with engineering, data science, analytics, design, finance, operations, and external partners to create scalable solutions that improve customer experiences while maintaining strong financial controls and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Product Vision, Strategy & Roadmap

Define and drive the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for Employee Expense and Corporate Cards products.
Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, improve customer experience, enhance financial controls, and reduce operational costs through automation and AI-driven solutions.
Evaluate industry trends, customer feedback, business needs, and operational challenges to uncover high-impact product opportunities.
Develop product tenets, strategic goals, business cases, and investment proposals to support long-term product direction.
Create and maintain multi-year product roadmaps aligned with organizational objectives and business priorities.

Product Discovery & Innovation

Partner with customers, operations teams, finance stakeholders, and leadership teams to identify pain points and unmet needs.
Leverage customer insights, operational data, and market intelligence to prioritize product investments.
Drive innovation through AI/ML-powered capabilities that improve efficiency, decision-making, compliance monitoring, and user experience.
Translate complex business problems into scalable product solutions with measurable outcomes.

Product Planning & Requirements Management

Author compelling PRFAQs, business requirement documents (BRDs), product requirement documents (PRDs), strategy documents, and executive review materials.
Define clear product requirements, user journeys, workflows, and success criteria.
Lead cross-functional planning sessions and facilitate alignment across business and technical stakeholders.
Ensure product decisions are grounded in customer needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Collaborate closely with Software Development Engineers (SDEs), Data Scientists (DSs), Data Engineers (DEs), Business Intelligence Engineers (BIEs), Business Analysts (BAs), UX Designers (UXDs), Program Managers, Finance teams, and Operations leaders.
Lead discussions and decision-making forums with senior executives and stakeholders.
Manage relationships with both first-party (internal) and third-party (external) partners, including global card issuers, payment providers, and technology vendors.
Drive alignment among stakeholders with competing priorities while maintaining focus on customer and business outcomes.

Product Development & Execution

Partner with engineering teams throughout product design, development, testing, and deployment.
Evaluate trade-offs between customer value, business impact, technical complexity, effort, and delivery timelines.
Support technical teams during scoping, architecture discussions, design reviews, and implementation planning.
Ensure products are delivered with high quality, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.

Metrics, Analytics & Business Performance

Define key input and output metrics to measure product success and business impact.
Establish KPI frameworks, audit mechanisms, reporting standards, evaluation methodologies, and self-inspection processes.
Partner with BIEs, BAs, and DEs to build scalable reporting solutions and performance dashboards.
Continuously monitor product performance and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
Present business performance insights and recommendations to leadership teams.

Product Launch & Operational Readiness

Own end-to-end launch planning and execution for new product features and capabilities.
Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Pilot Validation Testing (PVT), launch readiness reviews, and rollout planning activities.
Coordinate cross-functional launch activities across product, engineering, operations, finance, and external partners.
Ensure smooth deployment, operational readiness, risk mitigation, and post-launch monitoring.

Adoption, Change Management & Customer Engagement

Develop and execute product socialization, communication, and adoption strategies.
Drive customer onboarding, training programs, demonstrations, workshops, and enablement activities.
Create product documentation, onboarding materials, and customer education resources.
Measure adoption, customer satisfaction, and engagement to ensure successful implementation and sustained usage.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Experience in Product Management, Program Management, Strategy, or related functions.
Experience owning product strategy, roadmap development, prioritization, and execution.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, analytics, and business teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations and documentation.
Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders across multiple organizations and leadership levels.

Preferred Qualifications

MBA or advanced degree in a related discipline.
Experience building Finance, FinTech, Payments, Expense Management, Corporate Card, Procurement, or Enterprise SaaS products.
Experience developing AI/ML-enabled products or leveraging advanced analytics to drive business outcomes.
Familiarity with Amazon-style product development mechanisms including PRFAQs, BRDs, narratives, roadmaps, and business reviews.
Experience managing external vendors, payment providers, or strategic partners.
Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance, audit requirements, and operational processes.
Experience leading global product initiatives across multiple regions and stakeholder groups.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience owning technology products
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
