Senior Systems Engineer - Atlassian Platform Administration (Jira)

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer - Atlassian Platform Administration (Jira) to manage, configure and support our Atlassian ecosystem on Linux. In this role, you will translate user requirements into robust Jira configurations, lead service delivery and ensure seamless integration across Jira, Confluence and Crowd for our global clients.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and configure Jira Data Center, Confluence Data Center and Crowd on the Linux platform
  • Translate user requirements into Jira project configurations such as workflows, permission schemes, notification schemes and constraints
  • Integrate Crowd, Jira and Confluence to deliver a cohesive Atlassian environment
  • Perform upgrades on Jira, Confluence Data Center and Crowd on the Linux platform
  • Develop plugins and build automation within Jira
  • Lead service delivery across Jira, Confluence and GitHub
  • Update Knowledge Modules with clear procedures and instructions
  • Provide support aligned with ITIL processes
  • Support Agile project management practices across teams
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with global clients
  • Work in shifts covering India and UK time zones

Requirements

  • 8 to 10 years of IT experience with a BE or master's degree
  • Expertise in administration and configuration of Jira Data Center, Confluence Data Center and Crowd on Linux
  • Proficiency in Python scripting and usage of Co-Pilot agents
  • Knowledge of Agile project management
  • Experience integrating Crowd, Jira and Confluence
  • Capability to perform at least one upgrade on Jira, Confluence Data Center and Crowd on Linux
  • Skills in plugin development or automation within Jira
  • Service lead experience in Jira, Confluence and GitHub
  • Support experience with ITIL processes
  • Understanding of Linux, Windows and application server, webserver and database
  • Strong analytical skills, multi-tasking attitude and ownership of responsibilities
  • Good communication skills with global clients

Nice to have

  • AWS Solution Architect experience
  • Understanding of SSO working principles
  • Familiarity with networking concepts
