Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to drive business growth across the Australian market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of acquiring and managing clients from Australian Accounting Firms, CPA Practices, Bookkeeping Companies, and Business Advisory Firms. This role requires a strategic sales professional with strong consultative selling skills, the ability to close high-value deals, and expertise in building long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

• Drive end-to-end business development activities for the Australian market.
• Identify, prospect, and acquire new clients within Australian Accounting Firms, CPA Practices, Bookkeeping Firms, and Business Advisory Companies.
• Manage the complete sales lifecycle, including lead generation, prospecting, client meetings, proposal preparation, negotiation, and deal closure.
• Develop and execute market expansion strategies to achieve revenue and business growth targets.
• Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through networking, referrals, outbound outreach, and strategic partnerships.

Client Relationship Management

• Build strong relationships with partners, directors, and key decision-makers across Australian firms.
• Understand client requirements and provide tailored outsourcing and business solutions.
• Ensure seamless client onboarding by coordinating with internal delivery and operations teams.
• Maintain long-term client relationships to drive repeat business and account growth.

Market Expansion & Industry Representation

• Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, networking forums, exhibitions, and trade shows across Australia.
• Identify emerging market opportunities and develop strategies to expand the client base.
• Stay updated on Australian accounting industry trends, outsourcing demands, and competitive market developments.

Reporting & Strategy

• Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and business development plans.
• Monitor sales performance against targets and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Provide market intelligence and strategic insights to senior management.

Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of Business Development experience focused on the Australian market.
• Mandatory experience working with Australian Accounting Firms, CPA Practices, Bookkeeping Firms, or Business Advisory Companies.
• Proven experience in selling Accounting, Bookkeeping, Taxation, Payroll, Outsourcing, or Financial Services.
• Demonstrated success in closing business worth AUD 100,000+ (individually or as part of a team).

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Prior onshore business development experience in Australia will be a strong advantage.
• Established network within the Australian accounting and business services industry.
• Experience representing organizations at conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
• Self-driven, target-oriented, and capable of managing the complete sales cycle independently.
• Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and strategic thinking skills.
