Position Summary
Join Deloitte Tax Services India Private Limited and support quality management activities within Deloitte’s Global Compensation Management team. We are looking to hire an experienced Senior – Middle East Payroll, Reporting & Analytics professional who brings a strong combination of payroll domain knowledge and technical reporting capability. This role will support domestic payroll operations for Middle East countries, with a focus on payroll inputs, validation, reconciliations, controls, stakeholder coordination, and management reporting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Middle East payroll processes, along with strong expertise in Power BI, MIS reporting, and data analysis.
Work you'll do
- Manage and support end-to-end payroll activities for Middle East countries in line with agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Prepare, validate, and review payroll inputs including earnings, deductions, statutory components, leave, reimbursements, and final settlement elements.
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Perform payroll reconciliations, variance analysis, and exception handling prior to payroll sign-off.
- Review payroll output reports and identify discrepancies, root causes, and corrective actions.
- Ensure payroll activities are delivered in accordance with defined controls, compliance requirements, and service level expectations.
- Develop and maintain recurring and ad hoc payroll dashboards, MIS packs, and operational reports using Power BI and Excel.
- Translate payroll data into actionable insights for leadership through clear reporting and visualization.
- Support month-end and year-end reporting requirements related to payroll operations.
- Drive process improvements, automation opportunities, and reporting standardization across payroll activities.
- Support documentation of payroll processes, SOPs, controls, and reporting logic.
- Train and guide junior team members on payroll processes, reporting practices, and quality expectations.
- Support transitions, new country requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives as needed
This role supports a domestic payroll and reporting environment focused on Middle East operations. The team works across Domestic payroll processing, reconciliation, and management reporting for payroll processes delivered to agreed timelines and quality standards, using technology and a controls-based delivery model consistent with the operating structure reflected in the source JD.

Qualifications
Required
- 5 to 8 years of overall experience, with significant experience in payroll operations.
- Hands-on experience in Middle East payroll, including country-specific payroll practices and coordination requirements.
- Strong understanding of payroll lifecycle: input collection, validation, processing support, reconciliation, reporting, and issue resolution.
- Experience working with payroll reports, variance analysis, and data validation.
- Strong Power BI skills, including dashboard creation, data modeling, and report publishing.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and payroll data analysis.
- Experience in MIS reporting, operational reporting, and management dashboards.
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within tight deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional or global stakeholders.
- Experience in domestic payroll operations for Middle East countries.
- Exposure to payroll systems, HR systems, or finance/reporting platforms.
- Knowledge of process improvement, controls, and standardization.
- Experience supporting SLA-driven operations.
- MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
